I am currently 9 months in with losing my 3 children, the 3rd being 3 weeks old at time, to dcf and placed in my KNOWN child and woman abusing brother-in-laws home. I firmly believe that beyond books, research, laywers, and family, that the most CRITICAL THING NEEDED TO EVER STAND A CHANCE AT MAKING A DIFFERENCE, is building a network of parents, fathers, mothers, & both, to join togethor, communicate, share stories & advice, and pray our butts off as ONE!!! So I beg you, wether youve faced it years ago, decades, are facing it now, or in danger of facing it, or simply just care about children and justice, help me! It took alot of courage for parents who admit their mistakes to put it out there for the world to see in order to help someone else. The book challenges parents to take responsibility for their situation and at the same time validates the feelings parents may feel while going through the child welfare system. It is written in plain, simple language that is easy to understand. It is short and to the point and does not overwhelm with alot of jargon. It is obvious this book was written for someone who is going through the process. I give it a thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone involved in child welfare or knows someone who is.
This book was not very helpful or truistic if you are really dealing with CPS. Somewhat boring and poorly written.

Lacking in REAL information. Tells you what to do to be good, but lacks information on how to fight
agency and social worker failings, including corruption.
